Here's the funny thing. Most of the Marathi manoos is embarrassed at what is being done in his name. He voted for Modi and Fadnavis, not Shiv Sena. But Shiv Sena which was hanging on to BJP's coat tails, landed up in the lap of Sonia Gandhi after the elections, so the manoos has to grin and bear it.

People across India are leaving their regionalism behind and uniting behind one man - Modi. You criticise him, and they'll bite you. Because they understand that the kind of sincerety Modi and his choices - Yogi et al, bring to governance has never been seen in India before.
Reams of articles are being written on what keeps Modi's popularity high by 'journalists' and political analysts on why Modi's popularity never wanes. There's one in NDTV today 'Why PM Modi remains popular despite corona virus'. Because he's sincere, you fool. They don't miss the elephant in the room - they just don't print it. They try to project it as some hocus-focus, which it is not. It is simple - sincerety.
What alarms the enemies of India (yes, that's what they all are - Congress, Samajwadi, Shiv Sena, TMC, RJD, DMK, Janata Dal-dal) is that one man can single-handedly unite India and divide it along two and only two lines - nationalist & anti-nationalist. That he completely eradicated the regional czars who made their living on caste politics is so shocking and alarming to them that they celebrate a Chinese incursion on the border in the hope that an invasion could happen.
