Instead of making fun of someone's poverty, they respected someone's talent.

A man wearing a torn dhoti and torn shirt arrived at the biggest hotel in the city with his 15-16 year old daughter.

Both of them sat at a table. The waiter placed two glasses of clean cold water in front of them and politely asked, "What should I bring for you?"

The man smiled and said, "I promised my daughter that if she comes first in the district in class ten, I will feed her a dosa at this hotel. She has fulfilled the promise. Please bring a dosa for her."

The waiter asked, "What do you want for you?" The man replied, "I only have money for one dosa."

Hearing this, the waiter went straight to the owner and told him the whole story. He said, "I want to give them a hearty breakfast. You can deduct the bill from my salary."

On hearing the story, the owner said, "Today we will celebrate the success of this promising daughter on behalf of the hotel." The hotel staff decorated a table and celebrated the girl's success in a grand manner.

The owner gifted them three dosas and packed sweets for the whole neighborhood. The father and daughter become exited after receiving so much respect.

Time passed, and one day the same girl passed the IAS exam and came to the same city as a collector. She sent a message to the hotel owner that Collector Sahiba would come for breakfast.

The hotel owner again decorated the table in a special way. When the collector reached the hotel with her parents, everyone stood up and welcomed them.

The girl stood up and bowed before the hotel owner and the waiter and said, "I am the same girl whose father did not have money for even a dosa. Both of you celebrated my success by setting an example of humanity. Whatever I am today is because of you."

She further said, "Today this party is on my behalf. I will pay the bill of all the customers and staff present in the hotel." She also announced that the owner and the waiter will be given the honor of "best citizen" the next day.

Instead of making fun of someone's poverty, they respected someone's talent.
